Written by a medical professional, it provides evidence that a Veteran’s disability is related to their military service. When medical records, treatment notes, or statements from treating physicians are not sufficient, a Nexus letter may be needed. The letter should provide detailed information about the Veteran’s military history, the severity of their current medical condition, and, most importantly, the connection between the two.
